Product Description The GA-40 is a dedicated, easy-to-operate guitar/bass tuner with automatic pitch detection. In Guitar mode it supports seven-string guitars (7B through 1E), and in Bass mode it supports six-string basses (Low-B and Hi-C). With the precision you expect from KORG, the GA-40 indicates the pitch quickly and accurately. The LCD needle-style display provides both the accuracy of an LCD as well as the easy viewing of a needle indicator, and the display has been enlarged for even better visibility. You can also use the built-in high-sensitivity microphone to tune an acoustic guitar.

Works August 23, 2010 CHUS01 Fan (Baltimore, MD USA) This thing works well and is a little easier to see and less jumpy than my old tuner. The LEDs are a little cheesy compared to the old one though. But maybe that saves on battery life. I don't know. It gets five stars for just doing its job quietly and for a fair price and not breaking.
I'm also glad I bought the one specifically for guitar/bass and not the chromatic one.
Yak... August 9, 2010 Joshua Cuellar (Texas) There are better tuners out there. Far better. This could be good, but it seems to me that all Korg products seem to think of Standard tuning as the only tuning out there, and they don't even tune it well to Standard (especially when tuning the G string)! I personally play exclusively in Standard for my electric playing, but sometimes I want to fiddle around with open-tunings on an acoustic. This piece-of-junk makes it incredibly difficult to tune to any tuning using "F" or "C" notes. I have no clue as to why that is, pretty stupid if you ask me, especially once you consider that majority of this generations guitarists are metal heads playing in drop c tuning or acoustic d-bags (I say that with love) that play in open tunings. Trust me, your money is best spent elsewhere.
Great! Works perfectly! August 3, 2010 Esteban Rodriguez Aviles I just started on my way to learn how to play the guitar and having your guitar tuned is one of the most important things as you dont want to get used to the wrong tones on the wrong strings. This little device works great and helps you tune your guitar quite fast and easy. I think it does a great job and I would definitely recommend it. Plus, the price is great!
Great digital tuner July 11, 2010 Guitar Player (Phoenix, AZ) This is a very good digital tuner. So simple to use. Hit the note, and watch the needle on the display. Tighten strings, and repeat. Very handy and small enough to drop in your guitar case pocket.
Great Product June 6, 2010 Michael (Roswell, Georgia, USA) This tuner help me out very much it works great and is easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone.
